A different type of Post than the usual Tips and Tricks and Artwork, today we’re going to talk about Inspirational Artists and how it can help us to Create better Art by drawing inspiration from other Artists.
We at Don Corgi personally believe that it’s VERY important to keep your mind on a Creative Mood so you don’t stop going and have constantly new Ideas. This will help you improve very quickly over time, and the more you’re able to keep that state of mind, the quicker you will Improve.
So without further ado, here’s Loish van Baarle, or Loish as she’s commonly known around the Internet.
Who Is Lois Van Baarle (Loish)
Loish is a Dutch Artist born in October 11, 1985. She has been drawing most of her life and has switched to Digital Art in early 2003. Amazingly she is a mostly self-taught artist, and has worked for many different Clients, ranging from Blizzard to Guerrilla Games and Lego! She has lived throughout the whole world working as a Freelance Artist in many projects, including France, Belgium and the United States.
She believes that using Reference Material “… for artwork is fairly essential…” (taken from her website), but must be taken as a starting point and not just for copying Artwork. Her Tool of Choice is Photoshop, she uses it for basically everything.
Here are some of our favourites picks from her Art Portfolio. We’ve included links in the images to buy those Prints, Bags, and Apparel on Society6! Just click the image and follow the link.
